Im new at couponing, and i have a question, it may be dumb but why am I subscribing to multiple newspapers?
ReplyDeleteEach paper only has one Smartsource coupon insert. If you practice stockpiling, then you will need more of those same coupons. The general rule of thumb is one for each family member.
ReplyDeletePlease don't take offense, but I don't give out my personal information to strangers. I am happy to have your blog get credit for me taking advantage of this deal, but I can't get past that first page that asks for my name phone number etc. I don't even know who I would be paying for this deal...you or the RJ? Is there a way for me to call the paper directly and get this deal and pay them directly, but give you credit? Or is there a way to skip that page that asks for my personal info, click you as the blog that told me about this, and then go on to the RJ and pay them directly?
ReplyDelete@anonymous: i totally understand your concern so let me explain how and where this info gies. (this is Jen by he way) work for grocery smarts. The form on this site just gives myself and Jackie the information we need to fill out the form that gets turned into the RJ. You will be paying the RJ, not us, but we do get credit for subs we turn in. If you would feel more comfortable giving merge information over the phone, just all me at 882-0172 and we can do that too. If you call the RJ directly and ask for multiple papers they will give you my number anyway since Grocery Smarts is the only company in town to offer multiple Sunday papers. Please please please feel free to call me at that number above if you have any questions. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI'm new to couponing and trying to figure out if buying multiple papers really brings a return on the expense or investment of purchasing the paper?
ReplyDelete@MySharrona,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all welcome! Each insert in the Sunday paper can yield $30-$50 in potential savings. At a cost of less than a dollar per paper, YES it is a great investment.
Imagine this... You get 5 Sunday papers and have the potential to save around $200. But not all the coupons match up to good sales, so you only really USE $100 worth of coupons for that week. Well, for 5 papers at a cost of $4.55 per week, I could make about $95 in profit each week I get the paper.
Since you do have to order the paper for 6 months, it is a bit of an investment, but it is the best $100 I have ever spent!!

@MySharrona,
ReplyDeleteSometimes just one coupon out of the paper will pay for the entire paper. For example, last week Walgreens had a Gilette Razor on sale that normally cost 9.89. The Sunday paper had a coupon for $4.00 off. Walgreens also had a deal where if you bought one you got a 5.00 in store credit to buy whatever you want...bottom line price...89 cents plus the tax.
And that was just one $4.00 coupon. From another paper, I got a 75 cents off coupon on toothpaste. CVS was running a sale on that toothpaste where if you bought a tube, they gave you your money back in CVS extra bucks to spend on other things in the store. Bottom line price....each tube you bought made you 75 cents!
That isn't even using any other coupon in the entire paper. The trick is to save up these coupons and then use them when things go on sale.
Even just ordering the one paper at the six month price is better than paying for it at the newsstand or the normal Sunday paper delivery price.
