Trunk or Treat, the City of Henderson’s premier safe trick or treating event, takes place 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at Black Mountain Recreation Center, 599 Greenway Rd.
Admission is $2 at the gate per youth or teen, with each participant receiving a wristband enabling them to take part in a variety of games and activities. Parents may accompany children for free.
Participants will follow the extensive trick or treat trail in the recreation center’s parking lot where a variety of groups will pass out treats (or tricks) from the trunks of festively decorated cars. In addition to a DJ and entertainment, the event includes carnival games, bounce houses, activities, and a variety of food concessions available for purchase.
“Trunk or Treat has become the must-attend Halloween event for kids, teens and parents,” said Nick McLemore, Recreation Services supervisor, City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “Kids love it because there’s so much to do and the trick or treating is the best you’ll find anywhere. Parents appreciate it because it’s a safe community event that even the little ones can enjoy.”
The event is sponsored by the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department with support from Parents Guide, Blockbuster, Go Wireless, Green Valley Window Tint, Huntington Learning Center, Little Bitty Child Care, and Good Night Pediatrics.
