Friday, August 28th is National Cherry Turnover Day. The recipe below is couresy of Pillsbury.com. I am always pleased with their quick refrigerator dough to whip up items quickly. I always pick up dough when it is on sale with a coupon.

INGREDIENTS
1 (12-oz.) pkg. Pillsbury Refrigerated Cherry Turnovers
3 teaspoons miniature semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS
1.Heat oven to 400°F. Separate turnover dough into 6 squares. Cut each square diagonally to form 2 triangles. Arrange dough on ungreased cookie sheet.
2.Cut off corner of cherry filling packet. Squeeze filling evenly onto center of each triangle of dough. Top cherry filling with 1/4 teaspoon chocolate chips. Fold dough over filling, bringing edges together to form triangle and pressing tip to seal.
3.Bake at 400°F. for 7 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle frosting from packet over warm tarts.
