So, this day always weighs heavy on my mind every year as an American. I am sure it does for you as well. I still am taken back that it actually happened. How do you move on in rememberance of the lives that were lost? One way is to continue to pay it forward. Today is the first National Day of Service and Rememberance. Here in Las Vegas there are lots of ways to participate in serving the community, click here for a list. You can also visit service.gov for more information about this new National day.
My project of choice for today is to particpate in the Thoughts and Wishes for our Troops. Make a card and drop it off to the Las Vegas United Way office located on 1660 East Flamingo Road druing regular hours all the way until Monday, Sept. 14th at 4:00PM. Call their office at 702-892-2300 for more information.
