Each December, the Water Street District transforms into a winter wonderland for WinterFest. As one of the city's largest holiday celebrations, WinterFest features three days of festive activities and entertainment including a tree lighting ceremony, ice skating, pony rides, Santa Claus visits and parade.
Here is the SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10 - Henderson Convention Center
7 p.m. Henderson Symphony Orchestra presents the “Sounds of the Season” concert.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11 - Henderson Events Plaza
6 p.m. Official Henderson Tree Lighting, Commemorative Beautification Commission Awards and arrival of Santa Claus.
6 p.m.-9 p.m.Craft fair, ice skating, train rides, wagon rides, gingerbread house viewing, pony rides, petting zoo and entertainment. Stu Miller Tree Lot with trees, stands and wreaths for sale. Henderson Festival of trees displaying decorated trees representing several different cultures including: Philipines, Hawaii, Ireland, Korea, Italy and Scotland.
7:30 p.m. Performance of "The Nutcracker"
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12 - Henderson Events Plaza
10 a.m. The whole family will love the wonderful excitement of the annual WinterFest Parade on Water Street in downtown Henderson. A toy soldier, drummer boy and teddy bear will stroll down the street to represent the theme of “Toys on Parade.”
10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Stu Miller Tree Lot with trees, stands and wreaths for sale. Henderson Festival of trees displaying decorated trees representing several different cultures including: Philipines, Hawaii, Ireland, Korea, Italy and Scotland.
10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Craft Fair
11:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Ice skating, snow play, storytelling, train rides, wagon rides, gingerbread house viewing, pony rides, petting zoo and entertainment.
5:30 p.m. Performance of "The Nutcracker"
