I am sure you must feel like I do as I watch the news and read the paper and see the horrible devastation the people of Japan are suffering through right now. Personally, I have a friend there that lives in Tokyo with her family and it was so scary going back and forth making sure they were ok via Facebook.
I have been looking into ways to donate and thought I would share them with you, if you have any other ideas please share.
First an easy one, Voskos Yogurt is donating a $1.00 for every like the get on their status in regard to the catastrophe in Japan. Click here to like their status (available till March 22nd).
Secondly, Groupon takes their popularity and puts it to good use! If you head over to Groupon today on the top of the website under your city you will find a link where you can donate $5, $10, or $25 to Support International Medical Corps’ Emergency Relief Efforts in Japan and Other Affected Areas. This is an easy way to give a little to those in need.
If you do not have a Groupon account, sign up here!
For donations, my husband and I have always used Charity Navigator to check out charities before we donate to them.
Here are links to the 3 of the most well known charities helping with the crisis.
Red Cross
World Vision
UNICEF
Thanks Shana!
