Welcome to the MVM Coupon Train Depot!

First let me say, that we LOVE our MVM Coupon Swaps & Socials and we think it is an integral part of building our Las Vegas Coupon Community. Please sign up on the events tab for Facebook for one in your area.

We are currently exapnding to other parts of the Valley and are looking for a few Swap & Social leaders, so please message me info@myvegasmommy.com if you are interested.

However, we also understand that not everyone can attend these swaps and socials, so that has led us to start a MVM approved series of trains. Why are we encouraging you to join us and stick with our trains is because many of times we receive vendor item FREE coupons and more and we'd love to add these to "our" sponsored trains.

We are excited to start this new feature here at MVM.

Here are a few general rules and I hope that this will answer many questions as well.

What is a coupon train?

A coupon train is an envelope filled with non-expired coupons that is sent between riders. This envelope is known to riders as an "envie" for short. Coupon Trains have Conductors. Once the list has the set number of passengers, the Conductor will make up an envie of coupons and send them out to the first person on the train route, with an enclosed list of all the other passengers. When you receive the "envie", take which coupons you will use and replace those with coupons for your fellow passengers. You will also remove expires and bring the total back up to 50.

You then mail it "on the route" to the next address on the list, in our case within 2 days.

Coupon Trains have a date that they leave the station. You will get familiar with your fellow riders and can use the Discussion portion of Facebook on your train for your NEED/Want list as well.

Since we want to keep the train flowing, we have a limit to the # of riders.

MVM Train Rules:

1. All trains are ride at your own risk!
2. All riders are required to get their portion of the train mailed back out within 2 days.
3. Pull out all expired coupons and replace with new coupons - bringing the total back up to min. 40.
4. You are responsible for placing the correct postage - we have a 50 coupon limit, so this should be just 1 stamp. Otherwise you need to adjust accordingly.
5. Be thoughtful about your fellow riders, don't put coupons in there that you wouldn't want to receive. The limit on the same coupon is 5 - unless it was REAL HOT or on a specific train!!!!
6. When your train envelope (we refer to as "envie" for short) comes in, you are required to post that you have received and sent out on the Facebook Discussion for your train.
7. Since these discussion exist for the trains on Facebook, you are required to have a Facebook account in order to join a train.
8. All Trains are for passengers/riders in the Greater Las Vegas area ONLY.
9. Conductors have the right to remove a train passenger for not following the rules after their 1st warning.
10. You can only be a passenger on max 3 trains at this time.

MVM Main Coupon Train

Our first Train is called: MVM Main Coupon Train. This train will be departing the station on Tuesday Sept 6th.

We are accepting new passengers through Sept 4th!! The maximum capacity of riders is 15.

This train will make it's rounds approximately once per month.

Items accepted in this "envie" for this train is: coupons from inserts, tear pads, peelies, booklets, printables, and coupons from magazines, and store specific doubler coupons.

Duties and Rules of MVM Coupon Train Conductors:

To be a conductor of a MVM train, you must be a MVM subscriber via email and an Active MVM Facebook follower.

You must not be a conductor of your "own" personal train, you cannot have your own deal blog or other coupon group.

Conductors will receive perks from MVM on occassion, therefore you should try to represent the MVM brand and blog as much as possible in your own couponing journey and with respect for your own conducted MVM train.

You can however be a rider on another MVM train, but can only conduct 1 train.

You will be responsible for keeping up with your "passengers" and the discussion forum on the MVM Facebook wall.

You are also responsible for starting the trains - listing dates, etc...
