Redakai Review - Cool Trading Card Game For 6 and Up!

Redakai is the most innovative card game that is all the rage! My twin boys are 6 years old and were so excited and enticed by the package when they saw our review.

Redakai is taking trading cards to the next level with amazing Blast3D technology. Never
before have trading cards contained 3D and animation effects like Redakai. New game technologies
automatically track your progress and allow you to see the damaging effects of your attacks. Challenge
your friends, defeat your enemies, and Conquer the Kairu!

We had the X-Reader Starter Pack. It comes with two packages of plastic cards and an X-Reader portable battlefield so that a child can play with a friend right away. I let the boys at it after I read thru the directions to see how it works so I could explain to them. They caught on fast as it is really designed with younger players in mind. This game was by far the easiest trading card game I have come across to date thanks to the Blast3D technology.

The object of the game is for players to look at the damage level that their attack cards cause and see if it is higher or lower to their opponents defense. This is visually shown by use of 3 colors. There is an element of math in the game and it was good practice for my 6 yr olds. There is an advanced part of the game but at their age, we left that alone.

And so as my boys begin their next game, I trust that they will be card collector's now - something we haven't ventured into before. Especially since the Cartoon Network will be airing a Redakai show in the upcoming months. Ky, Boomer, and Maya are three teens on a quest to gather mystical
Kairu energy from across the globe. The fate of the world rests on their mission to collect the energy,
harness its power and defeat the evil forces of Lokar. The incredible Kairu energy gives them immense
powers and the ability to transform into the galaxy’s most powerful warriors! This plays right into the hands of the card game. So, if you need a boy gift or a treat for a special grade, this is it!
