Halloween? It's just around the corner!!!
I got a chance to review a costume site called Costume SuperCenter.
We had an opportunity to select from tons of Halloween costumes for teenagers.
My oldest was thrilled, it is so fun that they still love to "dress up" at 14.
Costume SuperCenter had a diverse selection as well. Personally, I am not into the "sexy" costumes for teens and so finding the right size for her can sometimes mean that we have to look at the adult section. Costume SuperCenter had "teen" specific costumes and a great selection, it was easy to find many that she wanted to "dress up" to be. Of course that led us to the Pink Crayola Costume...she LOVES pink! As a family, I enjoy letting the 4 kiddos do a theme together and we are going for crayons. My boys have this facination with having a specific color for everything.
Costume SuperCenter has everything that we need to make out Halloween experience special and memorable. They have accessories too - I am thinking pink face paint is in order!
Halloween has turned into one of our favorite family times of year. My boys', if you don't know, are allergic to nuts so we cannot go door to door trick or treating. We have a big family get together with chili, all sorts of goodies (nut free) and pass out candy. So my kid's costumes play a key role in our Halloween because it is something that they CAN do!
Dressing up is sooo much fun for them, I enjoy seeing their faces light up and it did so as well just going thru Costume SuperCenter picking out themes and coming up with ideas. We loved the Angry Birds that are new for 2011!!!
For Mallory's costume one of the deciding factors for her is that it has to be easy. She tends to not like too many very complex costumes and this tank dress was just her style. As a mom I liked that it wasn't skimpy and well made.
The costume seems durable and vibrant, not dull at all.
Of course even though we go all out...it all comes down to budget too. My kids tend to wear their costumes over and over again throughout the year but not enough for some of the expenses that can go along with those. Costume SuperCenter was affordable too and I appreciate that as well. Multiple costumes by 6 people for what really is "one night" can get expensive...I budget for this every year because of course we "need" new costumes each year.
