Run as a Santa thru Town Square during The Las Vegas Great Santa Run on Saturday, December 3rd.
This is the 7th annual run and has become a major fundraiser for Opportunity Village, a nonprofit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities. Of course, the run will also be marked as a qualifie for Guinness World Records. This years Grand Marshall's are Terry and Taylor Fator.
They are expecting about 10,000 santas this year to run. Are you one of them???
If you don't want to run, there's also the 1-mile Kris Kringle Jingle walk. Those who do make the 5-K run will leave Town Square and head for the new Sunset Bridge, which offers a view of the Strip, before returning to the starting point.
This year there are a few new add-ons that include (in true Las Vegas fashion) FREE beer-tasting by the Nevada Brewers Guild, face-painters for kids, balloon artists, costumed characters and other activities. So if you aren't participating, it will still be a fun time to be a spectator! The race begins at 10AM. You'll want to get there early though due to the large crowd!
Advance entry fees are $35 for adults, $25 for kids ages 2-12. On race day that goes up to $45 for adults, $35 for kids. That provides a five-piece Santa suit, some gifts and the chartiable donation to Opportunity Village. Go HERE to Register! You can pick up packets until 7pm tonight!
