Children's Claritin Coupon & Review

My kids not only have seasonal allergies but also food allergies. So, I need a brand that I can trust. Even when having to administer the epi-pens when they eat a peanut/tree nut - which I've only had to do once, they still need a powerful antihistamine that will decrease their swelling and hives.

As for their seasonal allergies - this time of year, springtime, we tend to need more doses of allergy meds. They tend to get allergy shiners (darkened areas under the eyes), more sneezing and watery eyes. I want them to be able to enjoy life and play outdoors, not stay confined indoors playing video games - that is what winter and bad weather days are for. Also at school, they are less itchy and sneezy if I give them their dose in the morning after breakfast - they are content at recess and can enjoy playtime with their friends. As a parent, I also don't have to worry about them being drowsy from it during the school day. Their heads are clear, Claritin Clear, and they can focus on learning and paying attention in class without head congestion.
Children's Claritin is the #1 Pediatrician-Recommended Non-Drowsy Allergy BrandSo, it's Children's Claritin to the rescue!

We recently discovered a new method for the kiddos though, it's Children's Claritin Chewables. These are perfect for ages 2 and up - so our youngest, AJ can take these with ease. He has a hard time drinking the meds and thinks of these like "candy" so there is no fuss when it is his turn. My older boys, 6 year old twins, can take these too - so it is a great deal to buy them across the board. We had previously always used Children's Claritin Syrup, but when on the go - it isn't the easiest thing to pack and portion out. Having to administer meds and measure out can be a little daunting for 3 kids. Not to mention, love my hubby dearly, but he isn't the most reliable source to administer meds at the "correct amount", so the chewables make it easier for him too and safe for our children. If you haven't heard of these chewables, I suggest checking them out. You can compare all the different types of Claritin on their site as well.

Here are a few myths on allergies that they clarify:
Q. Can you outgrow allergies?
A. People grow into allergies, not out of them. Although some people can have fewer symptoms from certain substances simply by avoiding them, it is nearly impossible to avoid exposure to certain pollens, molds and dust.

Q. Allergies run in the family.
A. The tendency to develop allergies does tend to run in families, but other factors may come into play. A child's chances of developing allergies are about 50% if one parent has allergies. The chances increase to about 66% if both parents have allergies.
