Priority Chef 2 Stage Knife Sharpener Review

The holiday season is upon us and I love to get NEW kitchen gadgets to make my life easier.
I've heard the saying, "keeping your knife sharpened causes less accidents". One of the main reasons of this is that you are letting the knife do the work/job it was meant to do - cut!
When it is not sharp, you have to apply more pressure to get the job done and that can lead to accidents in the kitchen.

I've used those long sharpeners and they seem to work okay, but this tool is so much better.
As you can see from the diagram below, you have 2 stages: coarse and fine.
The coarse blades are carbide material and are to be used for completely blunt knives.
The fine blades are ceramic rods for honing knives before use and giving a "like new" sharpness.

I call it the "tomato test" - can you slice your tomato without it squishing down?
If not, you probably need your knife sharpened. Simply run the knife 2-3 three times through stage 1 to sharpen almost any straight edged knife. The second stage smooths the edge sharp!

I ran this test on my knife set and boy did they all need sharpening...
Glad I picked up this tool.
It makes a great gift this holiday season too!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
