Happy Chinese New Year

Vegas is full of fun celebrations for the New Year. One of my favorites with the kids is visiting the Bellagio gardens. It has become our annual tradition. If you haven't been, check it out - they are decked out for the Year of the Goat. This is an easy freebie as there is no cost to enter the gardens.

Chinese New Year 2015, the Year of the Goat (Sheep/Ram), falls on February 19th through March 5th. Did you know that people born during the Year of the Goat are believed to be creative, intelligent, dependable, and calm?!?

This is your year if you were born in 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015

If you aren't sure what year you were born or the kiddos - you can check it out here!

Beneath a moongate wall in the South Garden, three Chinese children, with clothes adorned with 1,000 hand-cut flowers each, dance around a pond surrounded by bamboo and trees brimming with lanterns.
