Wet'n'Wild water park has just gotten better with age...season after season, it's new thrills and attractions make it the premier water park in Nevada. There are more than 25 slides and attractions that covers just over 20 acres. The events have gotten bigger too. This is the place you'll want to spend your summer, #LVSummerPlayground and beat the heat!

Our family has come to LOVE spending days here each spring and summer. We especially enjoy the dive-in movie nights on Fridays. Each Friday at dark, there is a dive-in movie playing on a large screen outside the wave pool. The crowd tends to thin in the evenings and it is easy to grab a raft and float in the wave pool while watching a movie. The screen is also large enough to see from the wave pool chairs and even cabanas. It's a nice way to end a fun-filled water day. For the current schedule of movies and other events, go here.

Slideboarding
The newest ride is taking the park by storm, Slideboarding. This brings the best of video games to a water ride...what is better than that? My boys' couldn't think of anything. Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas is host of this revolutionary ride, as they opened the first Slideboarding attraction in the world! The technology employs a smart gaming system that tracks each player’s progress/scores as he or she heads down the slide. It then posts the scores on affiliated scoreboards. The system creates tailored experiences for each rider in varying degrees of difficulty based upon prior games.

My son Jack, 10, said, "It is wicked cool". My older boys, 10, 10 and 8 loved this new ride. They loved the competing aspect of their scores after as well...it's always a competition. LOL! And they are huge gamers. They enjoyed going down the slide and trying to match up the colors from the lights. Jack said, "It's like Guitar Hero but on a slide, when the lights come on you have the match the color while sliding down on the board." This attraction is pay-to-play, so there is an additional cost unless you are a season pass holder. Here's a little video to help explain it more:

Paradise Falls
Spending time with the younger kids...well, Paradise Falls isn't just for the young ones. While, it is geared to the younger kids with several small to medium water slides, it is a place for all ages to enjoy. My boys' spent a lot of time here. Besides interactive water cannons/shooters and other play elements, this multi-level slide structure boasts a main attraction with a giant tipping bucket of water that frequently spills 300 gallons of water onto guests below. Stand back parents, if you don't want to get soaked! Although, if you do, I can say from experience, your kids will laugh. Ha Ha! It's just a fun place to play without much wait to slide down. And best of all, this water is heated!

Paradise Falls does close down an hour earlier on the 10pm open days, so plan for it to close at 9pm on weekends currently.

Kiddie Cove
If you have even younger tots, like my 2 year old, they haven't been forgotten either. Kiddie Cove is an exclusive toddler only section. This area is comprised of 3 slides, 2 independent slides and one group one that parents can travel down with their child. The slides are well life-guarded and the kids will have a blast. My toddler just kept going and going...taking turns amongst the 3.

Canyon Cliffs
It took my boys a little while to warm up to riding this and this year they accomplished it. One of them said it best, "hashtag yolo". This is the experience that will get your adrenaline pumping. It starts at more than 6 stories tall...hey, it's a great view of the valley from up there. But, you will drop to speeds up to 33ft per second.

Desert Racers
This is my kids' favorite ride! I think this video speaks for itself. :)

Colorado Cooler Lazy River
This is where you can find me all day long...relaxing on a tube riding gently down the lazy river. What a relaxing time. My toddler only stays part of the day and my older kids can manage the park by themselves. We have a system, check-in time every 90 min or so. either at the cabana or if I am not there, there are 2 bridges that they can stand at that go over the river...eventually I will pass by and wave.

Cabana Rentals
There are 2 places in the park that offer cabana areas; Wave Pool and Paradise Falls. If you are going to spend the day with younger kids than I recommend renting at Paradise Falls. If you are going on Dive-In movie days or have older kids, than the Wave Pool is your best bet. And let me tell you, strongly consider renting one! We have been to Wet'n'Wild many of times when we didn't rent a cabana and chairs in the shade can get hard to come by on a busy day. I love that there is a central place for the family to congregate. You'll receive a server too, which can make meal times and drinks much easier to handle. As a mom, this was convenient for me...I am typically the one ordering the food and balancing all the plates and cups walking back to the chairs. This took a load off of my plate. There is also a bucket of ice that you can store your bottle waters in. You can also take the price off of a locker because there is more room in the cabana. I keep my valuables in a Masterlock portable safe which I can easily house in the cabana as well. So, for us as a family of 6 (7 if the eldest is in from college), I can easily store all the park related gear. The cabanas are adorned with misters and that gives you an extra coolness throughout the hot summer days.

Book your cabana rental here!

There are also daybeds and loungers available too around the lazy river that are available to rent. This will provide you a little shade if you are a small party.

Don't miss all the other attractions too; Red Rock wave pool, Rattler, Constrictor, Hoover Half Pipe, Royal Flush Extreme, Tornado, Zipp Zapp Zoom, Desert Racers and more!

Tips
Here are some added benefits and tips that I have found that may help you on planning your day at Wet'n'Wild.
  • Pack bottle water - you can bring this into the park and will save you money.
  • Purchase a Souvenir Cup - This has a great benefit as the cup can be used throughout the season for $0.99 refills too.
  • We eat at the park, but if you really wanted to save money...you can get stamped and go in and out the park for the day. Pack a cooler in the car and have a picnic lunch outside.
  • Have a meetup spot with the family, whether it is at a cabana or not.
  • No need to pack sunscreen, unless you require a specific type...there is a sunscreen station at the park entrance where you can lather up. And don't forget to reapply often.
  • Consider staying all day...the crowd will thin out in the evening and the ride waits will be minimum.
Admission
Admission to Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas is $39.99 for guests 42" and over, and under 42" $29.99.
Children 2 and under are FREE! Guests ages 65+ are $9.99.

If you want to enter the park later in the day, after 4pm there is a Twilight admission as well that will run you $19.99 online and $24.99 at the gate.

Of course the real savings is buy purchasing a Season Pass. Season Pass holders get extra perks throughout the season. These are offered at 3 different price levels each with their own perks. You'll receive food and beverage discounts and retail item discounts. Plus more depending on your level. Check out all the details here to order your season pass today!

Stay tuned to our blog and follow Wet'n'Wild on Facebook or Twitter to keep up with special pricing events as well.

Disclosure: I received free admission in order to conduct my review. I was not compensated for my opinion. My opinion is my own and honest.
