Nickelodeon's fan-favorite animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender released their complete series on an exclusive 16-disc special collection DVD today, October 6th, 2015. Get your copy here.
Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Complete Series contains all 61-original episodes that aired from 2005-2008, as well as hours of bonus features such as; "Behind the Scenes" and "Making Of..." featurettes, audio cast commentaries and more.

Avatar: The Last Airbender had its initial debut in February of 2005 as an animated comic adventure set in a fantastical Asian world. This epic story follows the journey of twelve-year-old Aang, a reluctant hero who must lead the fight against the evil Fire Nation to restore balance in his war-torn world. The world is divided into four nations: Water, Earth, Air and Fire. Within each nation is an order of masters who possess the ability to manipulate their native element. They call themselves Waterbenders, Earthbenders, Airbenders, and Firebenders. The most powerful bender in the world is the Avatar, the spirit of the planet incarnate.

My 3 older boys (10, 10, and 8) are fans of the show, Avatar: The Last Airbender. They had been watching reruns over the course of the last few years, as they were available to watch them. They were a little young when this series ran, so this collection was perfect for them since it is the complete series. There's nothing better than to be able to sit down and watch a show from beginning to end in sequence, if you ask me. It took them a few weeks to finish it though as there is so much programming available in this set, 1496 mintues, to be exact. If you have a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, I would recommend buying this complete series set. The extra bonus features are really neat and take the kids through the making of the show and gives them a glimpse of what it is like to make an animated series of this kind. If your child is into fantasy related animation shows and hasn't seen this series, I would recommend it.
