Beautiful – The Carole King Musical tells the Tony® and Grammy® Award-winning inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom. At the age of 16, King became a part of the hit songwriting team with Gerry Goffin, whom she married. However, they weren't the only pair though...they became best friends with fellow writers Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, another dynamic pair.

The musical is centered on the lives of both King and Goffin as well as Weil and Mann. Their relationships are unveiled through the lyrics of the songs they wrote, which truly inspired and shaped a generation. I adored this musical not only because the singing was impeccable, but the soundtrack made you want to sing along. I loved discovering the story behind the lyrics of these ever popular songs and I know you will to. They were a staple in my household and I just belt out (can't sing a note though) "Natural Woman" anytime it comes on.

The set designs and changes are great and the orchestra was on point. The cast was no doubt a group of very talented singers. Many of them sounded just like the roles they were playing. For a moment there, I really thought I had The Shirelles singing "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" on stage. Julia Knitel plays Carole King in the show and her voice is impeccable.

As the show concludes it continues on King's journey to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history.
