From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes “Ant-Man and The Wasp,”a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. Due to the Sokovia Accords it is not legal to be a super hero. Scott is forced to balance out his home life and put being Ant-Man on the back burner. A situation arises and he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

“Ant-Man and The Wasp” is directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John-Kamen, Abby Ryder Fortson, Randall Park, with Michelle Pfeiffer, with Laurence Fishburne, and Michael Douglas.

This film is as witty and funny as its predecessor. Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) is born to play this hero. The balance of humor and action is great. I loved how the story interacted with Ghost, not a ruthless villain, you can identify with her character. After just coming off of "Avengers: Infinity War" this movie was refreshing. It is what I would consider the lighter side of Marvel and one you can easily take the kids too if you don't mind the violence, there are still scenes of frequent peril/danger, hand-to-hand combat with weapons, abductions, and destructive chase sequences, but nothing gruesome.

I would say this movie is safe for those who've seen other Marvel movies. My kiddos (13, 13, 10, 5) have seen every other Marvel movie, besides "Deadpool"...so this is right in-line with the others. My youngest is very sensitive to emotion, he cries at every Disney film and gets really sad at those types of parts of the movie and he will have no problems seeing this. It is fun for the whole family...pure entertainment!
