Nevada - P-EBT Card

Nevada families with kiddos in CCSD…be on the lookout for these (P-EBT) cards that will come addressed to your student. This is a pandemic benefit card for food assistance.

If your child was sent home anytime last year on a Covid protocol or school closure due to Covid, you would have likely already received a card with benefits a month or so ago.

What is the card?!? It is replacing missing free lunches and breakfasts at a rate of $7.10 for each day.

But, the benefit didn’t stop there…each student that was enrolled in the free lunch, which was everyone, by the end of school May 2022 will qualify for summer meal benefits. In October 2022, the deposits of $391 will be added to a new P-EBT card. Cards are on their way…check your mail.

If you would like to see if your student qualifies and how much they are receiving, go here to Access Nevada and complete the form for 2021-2022. You can also find more information here.

The card works like regular EBT (food stamps). There is an app you can setup a pin per card and you are looking for the words EBT or Snap Food when checking out. You can even use your card with Sam’s Scan ‘n Go, Amazon grocery online and any other places that take EBT.

With the rising food costs, this is a great help to many families this holiday season. :)
